I often speak of the dismay I feel when a child spends a day in my care knowing their parent(s) is off for the day. It breaks my heart that these children are not the precious priority they should be. And it saddens me that a parent has now lost another moment in the small window of time that is their childhood.
Today I came across a video I would like to share.
To all the parents who think "Me" time is more important than spending a day with your child even though you are paying for it anyway, and to every provider who does what you do so you don't miss a moment of your child's small window of time I leave you with the following link:

ReplyDeleteAs the only SAHM amongst my friends (and a former nanny myself!) I have moments of doubt, or a moment of jealousy of my friends with help (going to the dentist alone!! Jealous!) then I get a kick in the pants like this video and realize I am doing what is best.
