This was a good one! i live in jeans and t-shirts but I'm btanching out into those trendy athletuc pants (I stole my daughters, lol) I never wear makeup, what's the point? It'll be licked off my face in no time. also, I'm messy and I play hard and my jeans get holy and my shirts get stained. About the only time that I dress up is for a date with my husband, a party, or a red cross volunteer appreciation awards thing. ASlo weddings. But for daycare, I'm lucky if I have time to comb my hair!

This one really hit home as I have bought sweatpants in every color to wear during daycare hours. Granted, come the weekend I want to wear anything but. Still, what's the point to put on nice clothes (which I even consider jeans to be nice) to get snotted on, soaked, food stained, and dog hair all over!

I didn't realize there was anything other than jeans and t-shirt. I'm a total fashion faux paux. And you know what I hate shopping. I mean really hate it, even when it's for clothes for me. I'd rather shop for toys, it's alot more fun. Jeans, t's and Crocks, that's my comfort zone, and hopefully they last a long long time.

Jeans and Ts for me! Though I have to say one parent I used to have actually said I always look so put together?!?!?! I was flabbergasted as I roll out of bed 15mins before the first kid is due and throw on the least stained clothes I can find! I guess her "at home" wardrobe is much worse off than mine! LoL

Scrub shirts are the way to go!!! You can get funky patterns that hide a multitude of stains and they last forever!!
I like to pair mine with my yoga pants and birkenstocks. I also have some pink fuzzy socks and I have "holiday" socks for every holiday.....WOW where have all my power suits gone? I just sent the last bag of them to good will, no more fashion for me!!

My jeans and t-shirts in the summer are replaced in the winter with the same jeans and a thermal under my t-shirts and a cardigan over. I feel like in perpetual groundhog day of clothing. I don't even aspire to wear nice clothes anymore and get agitated if I actually need to put thought into what I plan on wearing. I buy cute t-shirts (threadless.com) and have, no kidding, 5 black cardigan sweaters I rotate through. I haven't cut my hair in, hmm, oh, crap, it's been 8 months. I used to keep it cute and short, but I'm trying to grow it out so I can just throw it back into a ponytail. Sigh. I'm turning into my mother.

Yay! You're back! Hope you had a great time! As for fashion, what is that again? lol I recently went out shopping with some friends for a day. they all work outside the home and on their day off were "dressed down" with jeans and t-shirts. For me, getting out of the house is a big occassion so I showed up in my good jeans that I don't let the dc kids near, a nice blouse and the killer boots (so-named because they DO kill your feet) that you speak of. I could have showed up in a clown suit with the looks I got for my much more casual friends. But hey, this was my big day out with no boogers or circle time in sight so I was livin' it up! It was kinda night dressed like one of "those people" I see going to work every day.

Thanks Judy! I thought I was the only one! I always thought I had a problem because my shirt was always wet too! I let the kids have turns with my fuzzy socks, they go aroung creating static and touching things and getting a zap, always kills a hour or so!

I can totally realate to this. One of my most important fashion items would be my slippers. I'm on my feet all the time, (Or shuffling my ass around too) and my slippers are on all the time. They finish off any outfit perfectly!

I couldn't agree more! In the few short months that my daycare has been open.... I have gone from -high heels to neon lime green/pink fuzzy socks. From tailored jackets and blouses to "any damn T-shirt I have that doesn't have snot on it from the day before" and the icing on the top..... is sweat pants.... oh yes... I know you shouldn't put a large woman in sweats... but you are right... they slide across the floor perfectly... I wipe my hands on them a hundred times a day....
